Finding Positives in the Negative

I’m doing this to make myself aware of the fact that the positives almost always outweigh the negatives. Instead of complaining about the little things and letting them build up to the point of ultimately ruin my day- I will journal them here. I will vent about the bad, while also acknowledging the good. I want to spend my time being happy and grateful: rather than constantly wondering “why me?” So, without further a do, here we go.

The bad

- I woke up incredibly sad for no particular reason

- I forgot/couldn't find my headphones for work so, in turn,

- Work went by slowly

- A coworker caught an attitude with me and it pissed me off

- My roommates got into a fight the night before and still aren't talking yet

- I have a lot of school work to stress about

- I felt insecure and worthless all day

- Starbucks got my order wrong :/

What makes the bad worth it

- I woke up this morning

- I am healthy (no longer sick)

- I woke up refreshed and got to sleep in

- I got two new pairs of shoes for a good price

- Michael was sweet to me and made me laugh

- "Fatty ghosts"

- I didn't have class

- I got to relax after work

- Kitten cuddles

- Hot chocolate

- I got to spend the weekend with my boyfriend

- I saw the most beautiful sunset I have seen in a long time

- I watched Scream (my favorite movie)

- Cheese stuffed crust

- Candles

Remember, "one of the simplest ways to stay happy is by letting go of the things that make you sad." Stay positive!!
