New Year Resolutions

I created this website for fun. I didn't (and don't) expect many people to ever see it, and I like it like that. Therefor, most of the articles on here will have no other purpose than to either entertain myself and give me something to do, provide myself with a platform to express myself, and/or to improve my writing. This is one of those posts. I mainly came up with the idea to blog my New Year's resolutions simply because this way I can keep track of my progress. Unless the internet shuts down or the world ends, this page will always be available for me to look back on. If anyone does happen to be reading this though, you can feel free to steal any of my goals for your resolutions.


Okay. Without further a-do.... here are my resolutions.


Personal

1. Learn to better control my emotions.

2. Think first. Don't be so impulsive. Slooooooow doooooown.

3. Don't waste time being mad.

4. Remember life is short. Make the most of it.

5. Put OTHERS first.

6. Cuss less.

7. Workout more.

8. Eat healthier. (cliche idc)

9. Try new things, even when I'm scared of failing.

10. Be more outgoing and friendly.

11. Don't be so shy and scared of people. What's the worst that can happen?

12. Stop complaining.

13. Change your perspective.

14. Radiate positivity.

15. Be someone everyone wants to be around.

16. Be grateful and stay humble.

17. Write more. Read more also.

18. Take Thor on more walks.

19. Spend more time outside.

20. Take time getting ready. (when you look nice, you feel nice)

21. Sleep more!!!!!


Family, friends, and relationships

1. Be nicer to my parents.

2. Strengthen my relationship with my sister and dad.

3. Be a better role model for my siblings.

4. Be a better girlfriend.

5. Realize love means making sacrifices.

6. "Choose your battles." Let the little things go.

7. Make new friends.

8. Show the ones I love how much I appreciate them more often.


Heart and spirit

1. Laugh more. (its good for the soul)

2. Be happier. Do what makes me happy.

3. Be more content with what I have. Jealousy is ugly.

4. Live in the moment.

5. Trust.

6. Stop worrying so much.

7. Love myself. The insecurity has got to go.

8. Stop doubting myself.

9. Pray more. Seek God.

10. Stop relying on others as a source of happiness. Find happiness within myself.


Financial

1. Save enough for a new car by the end of 2018.

2. Find a roommate

3. Move out.

4. Buy less stuff, experience more.

5. Save Save Save.


Work and Studies

1. Pass every class with A's and B's.

2. Transfer to OSU.

3. Perfect attendence- I can't afford to miss classes.

4. Find a new, and higher paying, job. NOT fast food.


Overall, this year I just want to be the best I can be. I want to be content with everything and everyone I have. I don't want to spend this year lusting after the picture perfect life. I don't want to spend a single night curled up with tears streaming down my face because I feel as if I am not good enough for anyone. I'm not perfect and I know that I never will be. But I want to be okay with that.
