I was shriveled up and dying

the color drained within my cheeks

brittle, broken, beaten

earth and soil surrounded me


but your face, it glowed so brilliantly

like the sun, I soaked in your rays

your sweet words dripped from your lips

like dew at dawn Spring days


you helped to give me purpose

and I started growing tall

now daisies bloom within me

I don't let my petals fall
